May
6, 2012 - Pittsburgh Marathon. This was the first marathon for my cousin Julie Lytle and my third running of the "City of Bridges" marathon. It was also my third "Run 4 Ozzy" race. $314 was donated last minute to The Ozzy Foundation for my race pledge drive. Every dollar goes to helping another dog fight cancer.

- 6 Months since Ozzy passed ... He is thought of every day, missed every minute and is my inspiration for everything I do.

April 15, 2012 - Austin, TX. The Ozzy Foundation sponsored the first ever "Run for Ozzy" runners at the Austin 10/20. It was a great event for us to show off Ozzy's paw.

March 22, 2012 - Today I celebrate my 39th Birthday at my favorite place to "Bite some Bison," Ted's Montana Grill in Alexandria VA. I have turned my celebration into a charity fundraiser as well, and a portion of the total food and non-alcoholic beverage sales, will be donated by Ted's Montana Grill to The Ozzy Foundation. Thank you to the managers and staff at Ted's for helping me in my fight against cancer.

- I attended The Arnold Classic Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, to support my friend (IFBB Pro Tina Durkin) in one of the biggest fitness shows of the year, as well as to bring awareness to the fitness community regarding The Ozzy Foundation. We received overwhelming support from the athletes and fitness fans alike. It was a great weekend.

February 16, 2012 - In a final tribute to my forever friend, I got a tattoo of Ozzy and his paw print (The Ozzy Foundation logo) hanging off a wooden cross, on my right shoulder. In life, Ozzy always had my back, and he's forever on it. Thank you "Ms. Dee" from Great Southern Tattoo's in College Park MD, on such fantastic work.

FEBRUARY 11, 2012 - The First annual "Shear the Beard" fund raiser was held, and $1525.00 was collected for The National Canine Cancer Center. This money will go towards cancer research, so that those in the labs can continue their work and hopefully someday find a better treatment or maybe even a cure. Thank you to all those that gave and to Marvin's Barber and Beauty Shop (in Alexandria VA) for hosting the event.

DECEMBER 31, 2011
- The first "Ozzy Foundation" check was issued to the Alexandria Animal Welfare League, to assist in paying for Homeless Canines with cancer. This adoption shelter is where it all started for me. It's where Ozzy choose me, and our journey began.

December 22, 2011 -
The Alexandria Animal Welfare League has agreed to partner up in the fight against Canine Cancers and Homelessness to our four legged friends. The Ozzy Foundation will assist in paying for the treatment of shelter dogs that are in need of Chemo treatments as well. In these special cases, Every Dog, does deserve another day ... and a family that loves them.  They have also agreed to participate in "The Run 4 Ozzy" and will be on hand with homeless pets who need to find their forever families.

December 22, 2011 - I was informed today, that The Ozzy Foundation was accepted into the IMF's 2012 "Helping Hands" Global Charity Fund Raising Program. This is Extremely exciting news, because we will be one of only 4 charities on the list that involve helping animals. I'm not sure what to expect, but we are definitely optimistic about our future with this program. Please contact me if your business is interested in organizing the same type of program as well. Together ... We ARE the difference.

December 10, 2011 - The Ozzy Foundation goes LIVE. Today marks one year since my best friend was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma and the beginning of what was 314 of the most emotional, memorable, educational, inspiring, and lovingly heart filled days of my life. Ozzy touched and enriched the lives of so many people, and my hope is that this Foundation will serve as a vehicle to educate, and assist other dogs and their families in dealing with the daily struggles of canine cancers, so that they can live out their BEST lives as well.  "every Dog DESERVES another day" ... This is Ozzy's Legacy, This is my passion.

October 30, 2011 -
With heavy legs and an even heavier heart, the first ever "Run 4 Ozzy" event was held during the 36th US Marine Corps Marathon/10K race.
